Wanting to buy a new computer for gaming, and came across this questionnaire on site that may help you answer my question. I've asked before about buying a computer, but I'm down to the wire now and simply cannot build it myself - I do not have the physical capability (due to disability) and if I pay someone to do it for me it will cost the same or more as buying a prebuilt. So...here are my questions answered:

Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP

Budget Range: preferably $800 or less

System Usage from Most to Least Important: playing SKYRIM with a few mods and perhaps one ENB (novice user of mods); Photoshop; email/surfing/normal stuff.

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: um...everything

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Don't care...but probably newegg, tigerdirect or amazon

Location: City, State/Region, Country - Indiana, USA

Parts Preferences: whatever works

Overclocking: Seriously, I just started gaming so I don't even know what overclocking is.

SLI or Crossfire: I don't even know what this is.

Your Monitor Resolution: the detection tool on my desktop SAYS 1600x900 but I think it's wrong

Additional Comments: I just started gaming, I have fibromyalgia and arthritis, and my hands shake a lot so I can't build my own computer. I'm "ok" at gaming. I only play one game - Skyrim - but I LOVE it and I want to continue playing it, but I need a new computer to continue playing it! My old one just can't handle the graphics!

I am thinking about getting this one:

Cybertron Hellion-DC Pentium Dual-Core Model GM2114F
$842.89
Processor: Intel Core i3 i3-4130 3.40GHz Dual-Core 1150 RET Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 1150 V 3x16 XFRX 4D3 M32 GL R ATX Motherboard
Memory: 8GB DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 Memory
Hard Drive: 1TB 3.5 SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache
Optical Drive: DVD±RW DL 24x SATA Black Optical Drive
Video Card: GeForce GTX750 TI 2GD5 X16 2DVI MHDMI
Accessory: Aerocool 1 Bay Front Fan Control Panel
Chassis: XPredator X1 ATX Mid Tower No PSU Blue Chassis
Power Supply: Ultra 500W PSU Low Noise PSU
Network Card: 10/100/1000 Gigabit Network Onboard
O/S: Microsoft Windows 8.1 32/64bit COA
1 Year Warranty on Labor and Parts

What do you guys think? Or do you know of any better deals? I definitely know that I want at LEAST an Intel i3 processor (actually I would prefer an i5 but that would add another $150), and definitely a 2GB video card. The processor doesn't have to be Intel, but if it's AMD, I would like for it to be somewhat equivalent to an i5. If that makes sense. If anyone even makes anything like that....that is prebuilt.

Not saying you have to build a computer yourself...but you can always have a friend of family member help you with it. I have seizures, severe arthritis thanks to degenerative joint disease, and many other health issues that makes it difficult to do stuff like that also, but my wife did majority of the actual building while following my instructions. Just me two cents if you want to consider it anyway.

Even if you have someone local build it for you....you can specify exactly what parts you want in it. Price may not differ, but better parts is always a plus.

For your parts selection:
Non-OC CPU, and OC capable motherboard
PSU - that particular one may or may not be good. I'd lean towards the latter

How much are they charging for this system?

Moderator - I don't know all of the abbreviations and what they mean so I don't know if I can answer the questions. CPU - that's the computer. OC I think is overclocking, which I kind of have an idea of what that is but I don't know for sure...The PSU is a low noise 500W unit.

These are the specs for a prebuilt system that I am thinking about buying, and it is $842. It's online at cybertron.com and it's one of their preconfigured computers. They had another processor, an Intel Pentium DC G3258 ANNIV 3.20GHz 1150 OEM but I thought the i3 would be better...I would have gone i5 but that was an additional $150

OK.
From your selected parts, the motherboard is potentially overclockable (OC), while the CPU is not. If you're not going to OC in the future, that motherboard is a little bit wasted money

For the PSU - them saying "PSU is a low noise 500W unit" means little, and might very well be an absolute crap unit. Crap as in potentially burn your house down.
And no, I'm not kidding with this.

So. What you might want to do is provide us a budget, use, and where you are comfortable buying from. Newegg, Amazon, etc.
Several people here will probably provide a parts list better than what you found. Add in another $50-$100 for someone local to assemble it for you.

Your budget seems to be $850ish. Subtract $150 for the OS and someone to assemble it.
Does this also need to include the monitor?

I have ordered from amazon, newegg and tigerdirect in the past and I'm comfortable with all of them. I just want to play skyrim, with some mods and an enb (because, well, they're cool) as soon as I can. (To tell you the truth, I started playing in April and I hadn't started the main quest line until a couple days ago...then when I started it, it totally messed up my gameplay...I think that dragon was too much for my graphics card, and EVERYTHING on my gameplay moves like molasses, so I just can't play at all until I get a new computer.)

I don't have an OS on hand. If I buy parts, I'd have to get an OS, preferably Win7-64bit. Old farts like me don't have time to learn new OS's like Win 8.1...lol

Old farts? I'd wager that you are young enough to be my ..... younger cousin.

Moving on. That PC you specced out at Cybertron is not 'terrible', but it does have some weirdness as mentioned above.
For all of the companies that sell prebuilts, they must cut prices somewhere to display a competitive price.
Quite often, that is in the places where no one ever looks or knows.

If the tagline for the PSU is "low noise 500W unit", it is almost certainly crap. Dangerous crap. If it were actually a good one, they would specify the brand and model.
Since they do not say, the default assumption is crap.

What do you all think of this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xRn223

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor $114.97 OutletPC
Motherboard: MSI 760GM-P23 (FX) Micro ATX AM3+ $44.98 OutletPC
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory $69.99 Amazon
Storage: Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive $77.24 Amazon
Video Card: PNY GeForce GTX 760 2GB Enthusiast Edition Video Card $232.98 Newegg (Free Watch Dogs w/ purchase, limited offer)
Case: Cougar MG100 MicroATX Mini Tower Case $29.99 Mwave
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX $24.99 Newegg
Total: $595.14

That was recommended to me. Oh just realized that's without an optical drive and I would need to add on an O/S, probably another $120 on top of that. So that would be about $715 total.

Opinions? Suggestions for substitutes?
