What's your motherboard?
The processor doesn't really matter when it comes to Crossfire but you won't get the maximum performance

Ok. I'm asking are you planning run that 4850 on crossfire?
Because i'm not sure if it will work. But a Nvidia card will work fine

If you can find a LGA 775 motherboard that has crossfire certification, then get that board

Risk it then.
If you can't find another board, risk it or buy another PC
