Hello, I need some help with picking out parts for my computer and am interested in building my first. However, I am not sure what are the components I need.
Here is what I already have in mind from searching around in Amazon.

  • AMD A8-5600K APU 3.6Ghz Processor AD560KWOHJBOX

    Thermaltake Smart Standard 650W 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12V 2.3 Power Supply SP-650P

    MSI AMD Radeon R9 270X Gaming 2GB GDDR5 2DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card

MSI Computer Corp. A55M-E35 Micro ATX DDR3 1600 FM2 Motherboards

Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive ST1000DM003

    Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (1x8 GB Module) 1600MHz 240-pin DDR3 Non-ECC CL10 Desktop Memory KHX1600C10D3B1/8G

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit, System Builder OEM DVD 1 Pack (New Packaging)

Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black)

Sentey ATX Mid Tower Case with No Power Supply, Sandy Matte Black GS-6010 PLUS - COBRA

Is this ok or is their any way to make this a bit better?

Edit: I am also trying to save money so yeah..
And I heard building is better than buying a built one since more bang for your buck and whatnot.

Are you considering buying a whole new unit at all?
Cybertron PC sells some pretty nice quality computers. The best part is that they keep dropping in price.
I recently bought a Cybertron and im happy with it.Here are a few specs

8 GB RAM
AMD FX(tm)-4130 Quad Core Processor 3.80 GHz
64bit Op System
Windows 8.1

Im not quite sure what model this is, but it has a blue side panel with led lights. Its somewhere in the 500$-650$ range.
