Hi everyone, my cheap wireless keyboard broke and so i need another one.

My question is this, is it such a difference between a 14.99 new key+mouse i found on ebay as opposed to a "quality" gaming key+mouse. I have my gaming rig hooked up to my 50inch so the key+mouse has to be wireless, does having to use wireless destroy the advantage of a quality gaming key+mouse? I usually use my controller anyway unless im playing really serious on BF4 or counter strike so keep that in mind.

So if it is worth it i kindly ask if you know of a decently priced gaming key+mouse to post a link to it:).

Cheap Wireless keyboards are trash. Often times wireless keyboards have slower response times, so by the time the command you type on your keyboard is transmitted to your computer, you end up dead. When typing a paper or doing casual gaming those keyboards are fine, but if you want to do some high end gaming, be prepared to fork out some more money.

As for a mouse, gamers often want a mouse suited to their game interests. For an RTS player, having a few hot keys to press on your mouse instead of wasting time looking for a button to do it is very useful. For BF4 you would probably want something with fairly high DPS, but with the click of a button, slows to a crawl for those sniper shots.

My friend has this keyboard...
Cheap gaming keyboards are terrible - I have a $20 Sharkoon here that I'm only keeping since I don't want to pollute a landfill with it. SOme of the cheap MS keyboards are pretty good value for money.

Things change when you get into mechanical keyboards. There they are nicer and the keys have better tactile feedback etc.

I use a cheapo Anker Gaming mouse - it's a substantial improvement over my previous Microsoft Wireless mouse, but didn't cost a farm.

My friend has this keyboard: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Illuminated-Keyboard-K800/dp/B003VAGXWK?SubscriptionId=AKIAIEF7KZG4SSIJ7QQA&tag=toms_shopping_rev-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B003VAGXWK
and he really likes it. It's wireless, but he says it has a great response time.

As for the mouse, I personally use the Logitech G602, and I love it. It doesn't cost as much as some even more high-end gaming mice, but is a great mouse for $80. Link: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104914

Honestly, this is my opinion, and I'm not an expert. Do what you want with your money, and don't take my advice over anyone else's

Thanks for the information and links! I really cannot afford to spend 80$ on a mouse or keyboard now, but in the future the advice and recommendations from both of you will really help! I wish i could pick both for the best answer as the recommendations looked good, and that diffrent grip article was really helpful:).
