Going to be building a mini itx build in the EVGA Hadron case, I've come up with 3 potential specs and i'm stumped as to which is going to be the best way to proceed.
The first issue is processor, i'm swaying between going i5 4690k with a Asus z97 board and a half decent cooler
http:// £954

Or saving myself £70 and getting a 4690 with a Gigabyte h97
http:// £881

I'm guessing with the size of the case and cooler calibre restraints i'll only get around a 4.3ghz OC anyway, is it worth it? (main rig is a 3570k @ 4.6 with a £90 cooler and wouldn't want it to feel slower) would i notice a difference?

The second issue is Gpu, i really want top level performance and i could save a further £100 going with a R9 290
http:// £781
but im concerned that im going to be maxxing out the 500w psu. Combined with the increased temps that would go along with it, would it end up with the system clocking back because of thermals defying the point of shelling out on a high end system?

You wouldn't really notice a difference not being able to overclock. I assume you need the mobility of an itx instead of just upgrading your main rig. Also assume you're gaming, are you using one monitor? I'd recommend going with the gtx 770.
