Hi guys, I am building a PC for the first time and I've decided to use the parts as follows:
GPU: nVidia GTX 780 Ti EVGA Classified Kingpin (£659.99)
Motherboard: Z87-GD65 (£132.81)
CPU: i7-4770k (£235.90)
CPU Fan: Enermax ETS-T40 (£28.00)
RAM: Corsair DDR3 2x8GB 2400MHZ (£150.06)
PSU: EVGA 850W G2 (£135.36) RAIDMAX RX-850AE 850W (£76.30)
Case: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (£185.29)
SSD: Samsung 840 Series Pro 128GB (£79.79)
HDD: Seagate 1TB Barracuda (£43.79)
DVD and Blu-Ray: Asus BC-12D2HT (£50.56)
I decided to go for the Kinpin 780 Ti over an R9 290X due to the lower power consumption and noise. I also prefer the nVidia drivers and software over AMD's offerings for some reason. I know the Kingpin edition is way over the top but I was originally going to use two GTX 780s in SLI but I decided that one single GPU would be more practical.Everything listed is available on amazon apart from the GPU which is from overclockers.co.uk. You'd probably notice that I haven't used any water cooling, mainly because I am not comfortable with any liquids next to such expensive parts (I will surely mess something up).
I would be really grateful if someone more familiar with PC builds could confirm that everything is compatible (mainly the GPU with the case and motherboard). I'm also very open to criticism about the parts I've chosen - I am still very new to all this.
