I have an older ASUS P5E motherboard. I HAD an OCZ GXS700 power supply that is now dead. Are all power supplies compatible with my ASUS P5E motherboard or do I need to purchase something specific to this MB? I would like to get another 700W PS, please advise..Thanks..

The P5E is core 2 era so it was an ATX 2.x board so it will still work fine with everything. The only time you will find weird PSU incompatibility is if you try to cross between the era where the CPU was powered off 5V to now where it is powered off 12V, or with the new haswell sleep state. Aside from the weird haswell sleep states, all boards and power supplies from about 2002 onward will work fine together.
