I'm not sure where the problem is. My router was cable company supplied and very modern. I'm 1 floor directly above my router and have a nice, clean, strong signal. Can't imagine what could cause such a disparity in signal reception.
Using the tp-link TP-link TL-WN722N Adapter on a core i5-2500k, 8GB ram, plenty of hard disk space.
This is my first request for help on this forum. Not sure if I've missed a standard troubleshooting post formatting. I hope someone out there can help.
