Why is my graphics card not letting my computer turn on

I bought a new graphics card and i put it in and when I go to start it up all I get is beeping so i know its the graphics card and when I take out the card everything is boots up. Please help. I have a HP pivilion 500-214 with a thermaltake smart series 550w. the graphics card I'm trying to use is a PNY gtx 660.
 
Solution
Run through the sticky to make sure everything is connected well(Ignore the CPU ones, just the video card and power supply tips).

If you still don't find a solution, then there is probably something wrong with your graphics card or power supply. There are lots of examples of this model computer on the internet with video card upgrades(even one with a GTX660) without any issues and there doesn't seem to be a bios upgrade.
