Weird startup issue

When I startup my pc without my heat sink hooked up it starts fine. But when I install my heat sink it tells me it couldn't start and asks if I would like to restore it to an earlier point when it did? Can anyone help me or give me some advice.

All I could think of it is that the heatsink isn't being properly placed, causing a short-circuit or making pressure in such way that your main HDD's sata cable isn't making proper contact, might need to reseat the whole motherboard if you still get issues.
