6K Budget Gaming Build - Micro Atx

Building that on an u-ATX board and cramming it in a small case is insane.

I Currently have an AMD R9 270X GPU (the card is a tri fan version and is almost as long as the R9 295X2 [without the cooling loop coming out of it]) anyhow,
i would highly recommend a corsair PSU, they are the best consumer (arguably) Power Supply. (the company that makes them also makes the best PSUs in the world) they are very reliable, constant, and the company has always been very nice to me regarding warranties and returns. (I would go with a CorsairAX series PSU).
The case that i have the card(s) in is the NZXT Phantom 410. THIS CASE IS BEAUTIFUL. It is very functional and is designed very well. PLENTY of room for cable management (modular or hard wired) plenty of grommets as well. Fan controller, airflow is phenomenal. the case just is awesome. It also is very easily modified.
RAM - i would highly recommend GSkill ram. stable, easily overclocked, very compatible. The company is amazing, definitely the best company/manufacturer i have come accross, and make sure purchase the ram in kits. (compatibility and speed will be maximized because the company pre-teststhe ram)
I am currently running an AMD bulldozer series CPU. I would recommend to save power an i7 (newest generation) purchased from tigerdirect(dot)com. right now it is currently about preference. I have run many benchmarks and tests on both amd and intel. Same clock (4.5 GHz) watercooled with a corsair hydro series H100i. the only difference i saw after hours of strenuous tests was that intel ran cooler as well as with less voltage and power sucking from the wall. i would recommend an i7 (or i5) as you indicated (both newest gen. due to the way that the I/O works inside the architecture of the CPU it consumes less power).
as far as the motherboard. (in order of preference and record of best performance and function) Asus, Gigabyte, and ASrock. Those companies have served me and clients best) Asus has more selectability as far as microATX motherboards (i would highly recommend a full ATX because they are usually more compatible and easier to install two graphics cards on.
and really? 6k? a budget? haha hardly.

I say f*ck it, go with 32gb of ram.
Extreme edition core i7 should go pretty well with the two r9 295x2s.
Good build overall, I just couldn't find you a case.
Have fun gaming in 4k.
