RAM MHz vs Amount

Solution
Speed is irrelevant ion this instance.....depends on platform.....

For 1150, 1155, 1156 wants RAM in 2 channels ..... 2 x 2 GB

Intel 9xx CPUs .... RAM in 3 channels .... 3 x 2GB

LGA 2011 .... RAM in 4 channels.....4 x 2GB
For a lappie... you will have much more flexibility if you get custom built. I use these (for CAD) in my office as well as those businesses I supply.////Clevo P170-SM
