Ok I flash my bios and had a successful restart.. I had my gtx 780 in the PCI e 2.0 slot so I moved it to the 3.0 slot turned my computer back on it started but no video but that's not my problem.... I decided to re run my cables and I plug the 8 pin cable that go in the 780 into the power supply and had it backwards.... So I turn on my computer only thing came on was the power switch no fans or hdd.. I tried to power it off it would not turn off I had to cut the power from the psw.... I looked further and the prongs on 8 pin plugs was different so I switch it back and now nothing at all

So far I tried everything I can think of unhooked everything, leave I stick of ram, unhook hard drives and I do 300 watt psu but it don't have the extra plug for this motherboard.. I'm thinking psu but if I plug my external hard drive the light comes on and my controller flashes as soon as I plug it in with the computer off any ideas

Spec
Biostar tz77 motherboard
I7 3770
Xion 700 watt psu
Gtx 780

you probably fried your whole system. Xion is junk, i fried one myself once upon a time...just by turning it on

you probably just learned a hard lesson. my money is on the 780 and psu being fried, and in my estimation theres a good probability that the mobo is fried as well. lesser chance that the cpu is toast, but if the mobo is toast the ram probably is too. dun dun dun

Smh well the 780 is still under warranty and I'm upgrading to the ti so that's not to bad and I been reading reviews on xion I see they have a lot of problems so I have my eye on this psw I want because I want to try sli ... I just hope my CPU and ram is ok that will be a setback.... Anyway to check and see if my ram or CPU bad? I have a old motherboard I could test the ram but I don't have a CPU for it
