I took off the fan on top of the processor and i applied thermal paste onto the processor without taking the processor out. I put the fan back on top of the processor and booted up the pc and it would stay on for about 5-8 seconds, all the fans would work, and it would shut down, and by itself it would try to bootup again, this repeats until i manually shut off the pc by holding the power button down.
PC won't stay on after reapplying thermal paste.

And you said that the fan does work, right?
In that case, you may not have applied the paste properly. How much paste did you use, and how did you apply it? The heatsink also may not be on quite right. Are you 100% sure you put it back on flat? (That is, no particular corner is on tighter than the others.)
