Suggestions for Gaming/Music Headset for around $100

I currently have a Logitech G35 Surround Headset but I have had nothing but problems with crackling and sound imbalance issues so I am returning them to BestBuy and looking for an alternative headset for gaming and music. My selection is somewhat limited as I have to buy a headset at BestBuy as I am exchanging my G35 covered under their replacement plan. I would prefer a surround sound headset for FPS and other games but I would also like a headset that is decent for music listening (mainly techno music with heavy bass). I was mainly considering the Razer Kraken 7.1 or the Corsair Vengence 1500. I am open to other suggestions as well for a better quality headset than the two listed. Suggestions or advice?

Edit: I am also considering the Turtle Beach Z22 in addition to the 2 listed above. Any advice is appreciated.

I personally use the Corsair Vengeance 1500v2 and I LOVE them! Just make sure to get the latest driver update for the 1500v2, the previous ones make music sound more dull.

Yes, the 2100 has a more comfortable feeling from what I've heard and it also has a auto mic mute when the mic Is in the up position.

Plus, you don't accidentally yank on the cord like I have LOL.

Update: Today I returned the G35 and got a SteelSeries Siberia v2(analog version) and I am actually kind of disappointed as the sound quality is not too impressive and people are having difficulties understanding me with the mic. I definitively will be taking these back and make yet another switch. So right now I am considering the Turtle Beach z22, Corsair Vengeance 1500 v2, Corsair Vengeance 2100 wireless, or Plantronics - GameCom 788. All of the are USB besides the Turtle Beach z22 so maybe I should get another USB headset? Also, are wireless headsets prone to interference and static if you are right next to the PC?
