Corsair AX860i With EVGA Power Supply Cable Set?

Solution
There needs to be a standard set for modular cables so they can be interchangeable. < won't happen

Standards of the companies will never match and then there is liability issues

Well then what are my dam options? I can't do anything with a 4-pin Molex Power Cable with 5 Adapters on it. I can't put my Side Panel on.

I know http://www.corsair.com/en/professional-individually-sleeved-dc-cable-kit-type-3-generation-2-black. The problem is The Cables are the same.

Blackbird, I believe your warning, but can you explain further.

I just built a system in a SG10B (SFF) case with an AX860i power supply. Silverstonetek recommends their short cable set for this small case to make cable management easier. Makes sense, so I bought it. When I compared them to the Corsair modular cables that came with the PSU, the pin outs were different. Yikes! I can only imagine what would happen if I plugged them in.

I went back to the Silverstonetek site and double-checked that they didn't provide any warning of that which you already seem to know- I wonder how you found out ;) Perhaps their recommendation is only meant for their PSU models. But that is not even close to clear, and this seems like a disaster in the making. Is what I've found really the norm- we have matching connector plugs all over the place with different pin-outs? I wonder how many people have zapped their equipment because of this.
