I was looking to buy a Benq RL2455HM Monitor, and I want to max games out at 1080p. However, people complained it will drop FPS dramatically. I want to know what performance my PC will play games in 1080p. What settings should I play on?

My Setup:

MOBO: MSI Z97-G55 SLI Mother board
Vid Cards: MSI GTX 770 4GB Twin Frozr GAMING (x2 in 2-way SLI)
RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB 2 X 8GB DDR3-2400 RAM
CPU: i7-4790k
SSD: ASUS RAIDR EXPRESS 240GB PCIe SSD
Also, can I get frame rates on Ultra for these Games that I play:

Metro- Last Light
Watch_DOGS
Minecraft
Battlefield 4
Titanfall
COD: Black Ops II
Crysis 3

can I MAX OUT AT 1080P?
THNX!

ROLF. Nope, a Geforce GTX 780ti can't even max out games at 4k, it requires two to three gtx 780tis.

So your going to be playing on LOW settings.

No offence to you, it's just funny to think that a gtx 760 could play games at ultra 4k.

EDIT: I didn't see you said 2 way sli, so you MIGHT beable to get mediumish settings.

People dont complain it will drop FPS dramatically, IT DOES drop FPS dramatically. Check the review bellow, and thats with 3,000$ worth of GPUs, a 760 wont stand a chance not even in SLI. If you're going to even think about upgrading to 4k and gaming at native resolution get ready to drop a lot more money on GPUs than the display itself.

just run battlefield 4 with 200% resolution scale on a 1080p monitor - that's 4k for you
hint: about 15fps with a single gtx770

Why do you even need 4k? Isn't 1080P enough?

"More than an 80GB HDD? Who needs that!"

The 90s called. They want their attitude back.

Well, your gona have to get a gtx 780 ti minimum to play 4k at desirable settings. Or, wait until Pascal arrives when 4k will be the norm.

new games you would only be able to play on medium settings at most with a 780ti... remember 4x times the pixel count than 1080p ... which means your FPS get cut to 25% approximately

Yep, but at least they would be playable at 4k.

Plus, you don't need AA at 4k, since the pixel density is so high that the staircase effect is gone.

well that's hardly playable... what's the point in 4k if you will be running at lowered, blurry textures and reduced effects? -
the higher resolution will expose it even more than 1080p
780ti for 1440p ...

Cards mentioned GTX 770.
Resolutions mentioned 1080p.

Where did you get 4k gaming and GTX 760?

Even a 780 struggles with metro and crysis 3 maxed out at 1080p somewhere about 40-45fps, but those guys are exceptions, 770 is adequate for pretty much anything at 1080p.

metro last light ran butter smooth with my 770... haven't played the first one tho... i read it's much less optimized,
crysis3 - yes, it can bring the 770 down to its knees easy.
