One stick of RAM died. Do I have to replace the whole kit?

I recently found out that one of my sticks of corsair vengeance memory was defective. I pulled it out of my machine and now I am running on 4gb of RAM. I want to replace the stick but I dont want to buy a whole new kit. I cant get a RMA because I dont have proof of purchase.

Just get another 4gb stick that's identicle it'll be fine as long as its corsair vegence same frequency same size

i would suggest getting 2 new sticks as the chances are minimal that you will have issues
you could buy a new vengance 4gb with the same voltage , timings and speed and it may work fine but there are no guarantees

I would RMA the full kit back to Corsair. The memory supposedly has a lifetime warranty.
