When I search some info about mobo. Now I am confused about mobo audio,I saw many non-advance mobo use Realtek audio chip, why gigabyte z97 only have three mobo(G1.Sniper Z97 (rev. 1.0), GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 (rev. 1.0), GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK (rev. 1.0)) use Creative® Sound Core 3D(gigabyte say that sound chip is world’s first audio suite, and it led the way in terms of audio qulity?

Lol,I think the audio of mobo is not important.

It’s sounds just like the same thing.((Maybe Creative® Sound Core 3D is a little better but I think you can’t defend by yourself.

I won’t spend double prices to buy that mobo just because the audio.

Just forget it, kid.

If you are a discerning audio user, there is certainly going to be a noticeable difference between a basic ALC based sound processor, and a Creative chip. I have been using Creative SoundBlaster cards from year, and there undeniably a difference in the sound quality. The audio is clear and crisper, add to that the vastly superior software suite to manage the audio just the way you like. In comparison, the software suite that comes with the ALC chips, is laughable.

Agreed that most users find the ALC chipsets acceptable, and work with that, but there is certainly a difference. After nearly 2 decades of using Creative discreet cards, I have been forced to use onboard sound for about 3 months now, as the PCI slot is my aging motherboard has failed. And trust me, I can tell there is quite a bit of difference. So needless to say, for someone like me who apprciates the better sounding audio quality, I will certainly go for a Creative chip versus the basic ALC one.
