Hi Guys,

i am thinking of upgrading some of my components soon, and want to try and salvage the replaced parts to build a HTPC for streaming, games and movies. Maybe turn it into a steam box.

the parts i plan to replace are:

I5-2500K
8gb corsair vengance ram
asrock z77 extreme 4 mobo

an old GTX570

So, mini-ITX LGA1155 mobo's are proving very difficult to come by, and they're expensive. all i can find areH61 chipsets, which go for around AUD$100, ( i saw a z77 for $500!)

so what is the smallest case you can get for a full sized ATX board? i could fit it next to my TV Stand as there is some space, but it has to be aesthetically pleasing. As well as house my hot, large and noisy GTX570.

Otherwise i have to buy a case & a mobo, will my GTX570 even fit in an ITX case? thinking of buying a GTX750ti or 760. They are nice & small! after factoring in the rest of the stuff (psu / hdd / WiFi card/ ram) then i don't know if its worth spending that much though, its staring to look expensive... approaching the price of a second GTX780ti for my main set up :/ but i would really like to have something in the lounge for the missus' tv shows etc, or when i want to game or stream.

whats the cheapest build you could put together from those parts?

TL;DR: i dont want to waste my old parts, but i don't want to spend a fortune making them work. suggestions pls
