What maximum GPU can my PC support?

HI guys,
I want to ask that what is the maximum GPU my PC can support?
my pc is AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual COre 3800+ 2.00 GHz
1.5gb ram
and i also want to know the cheapest possible graphix card that can play crysis,Gears of war
on meduim graphic settings

I wouldn't waste my money putting in a GtX750 into that system. Not only a complete waste of money, but the card will be wasted too. Seriously bottlenecked by that OLD cpu.

Yeah totally agree. I was just meaning, I wouldnt go any higher than that.

That said, if he plans to upgrade the CPU/mobo/ram in the near future, then the 750 would be a good GPU to transfer over.

agreed, but I would strongly suggest to the OP he doesn't spend any more money on that system, trying to keep it alive.

I would try sell the old system for a few bucks, and put together with money being spent on a new GPU, and try and get the essentials of a new system, for entry level gaming, maybe something like an I3-3xxx and a Bxx/Hxx mobo combo and new ram. OP would only be frustrated as that Athlon (although great in it's day) simply won't cut the mustard for gaming. Specially not in Crysis, which is still a beast even by today's standards.

thanks guys, from all of you guys' answers it seems like Im too Poor to play Crysis or any other game that i want to play ;( bCuz i cant afford I3-3xxx
any chance a poor boy like me play that game? any cheap PC (with a cheap Gpu that is) that can run this game?

Any idea how much wud it cost to buy a good enough Cpu and Gpu to play this game atleast at medium settings? please tell the cheapest one as i get $10 per month so it wud take many months to save up. Although I think I can convince my Mum to give me atleast $70-80 if I get a A in my exams
