Nvidia Geforce Experience Not Opening

So I have been frequently using shadow-play from the nvidia drivers to capture game-play and show my friends, but recently I have experienced troubles getting it to open and now it doesn't open at all. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing it but nothing seems to work. I desperately need to find out how to get it open as I cant optimize my games and play them.

Hi all,

I solved the problem I was having - Geforce Experience not opening and giving me the alert "Geforce Experience encountered an error and will close". It started only when I downloaded and installed the new geforce experience version (2.1).
fix: Went to nvidia's site, downloaded the latest nvidia driver, and upon download completion chose Custom Install instead of Express Install. With Custom Instal, you are given a range of choices of what to instal or not instal; one of these options is the Geforce Experience (again, v2.1). Chose that, and ticked "Perform Clean Instal". After installation complete, it asks you if you'd like to launch geforce experience when finished; chose "yes". It's now working like before. No idea why the problem started though...

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me. I'm at a complete loss. No idea what the fuck to do. So frustrated.

Thanks for posting this solution. It worked perfectly. I did a lot of digging around for an answer and yours was the one that got it done! Latest driver and version of GForce Experience installed successfully on 2/11/2015!

I had the same error, but it was quite odd. When I used the shortcut "Windows Key + Tab", I could see Geforce Experience running, but it was off to the right somehow. I then extended my desktop to my second monitor and EUREKA! There it was. Very weird bug though.

Hey this happened to me too! I had to move my extended desktop to extend to the left instead of the right and Ta-daahhhh!, there was my GeForce Experience Window!

open msconfig (via startup menu, write msconfig to search section)

Open services tab. click on hide all microsoft services, now uncheck Geforce experience.
Switch to startup tab, now uncheck Geforce experience again.

Reboot computer

Try to open Geforce experience again (via shortcut or from the installation folder)

BOOM case solved.

Found this in a google search so will put my solution here to help others

I had the same issue. Open Task Manager and go to the Processes tab, find NVIDIA GeForce Experience (32 bit) and click the little arrow to the left of it, right click NVIDIA GeForce Experience and click Maximize.

It only works maximized for some reason

Hey this happened to me too! I had to move my extended desktop to extend to the left instead of the right and Ta-daahhhh!, there was my GeForce Experience Window!

All I had to do was put my left monitor to the other side of my right monitor and there it was!
