the psu wattage is too much and who knows what quality it is id cut it down to a 550-650watt psu might save you alot of money.

Get a 990fx mobo, not 970.

get 2 x 4gb ram not 3 x 8gb. Get 1866 cl9 1.5V ram

Never buy an unbranded psu. For a pc with a 650ti you need a 430W+ psu. Get a good one per http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html eg Seasonic 520, XFX 550 or Antec HCG 520M

You could probably get a R7 260x for even less than the 650ti

the build is going to set my back $1288 total inc shipping and all experiences and 3x 3tb hdds and a nas as well

i already have 1 x 8gb ripjaw that im not using still in the anti static
i have one ssd left over from an old build (firmware bug - will be updated as of the new build)
i have the psu from my current build witch is dieing fast
i have a gtx 650 duel fan model its a 1gb gpu

You only need a 990FX board if you plan to crossfire or SLI in the future.

If you get a 970 board, you want one of the few that has 8+2 phase power, such as the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P. This board also supports LLC and has a great BIOS for overclocking.
