This build doesn't offer overclocking features for the CPU, but it performs as well as a i7 for a lower price. This build will max all games at 1080p at their highest settings. You might not be able to do so with Nvidia enhanced games, so going lower on the CPU to a i5-4590 and going higher on the GPU to a GTX 770 would be a good pair too.

the case and motherboard looks pretty classy together

you spent too much on storage. 6TB of space is A LOT. And that PSU is not of very high quality. If you give up overclocking, you could spend more on the GPU which is more important. The GTX 750ti is a ' mid-range ' card, which means that it can run most games at high-ultra settings at 1080p. Don't expect it to run modern games at their highest settings with full AA

What's the need for so much storage ?
What are you using this pc for ?

You are spending too much on the processor and too less on the graphics card

Check my build, it's much more balanced

3 really good options above.

Ironbatman's Xeon for i7 build is good if you don't need to overclock.

Maurelie's build is good if you want the new Z97 + Devil's Canyon i7. This is a nice improvement over Haswell where temperatures and stock speeds are concerned and very good for Intel overclocking.

And Scremin34Egl has the best bang for the buck build wise. For gaming it will be very close to an i7 build. With the CPU/MoBo savings he bumps you up to an R9 290 which is a great GPU.

If you really need all that storage space then yes that build looks good to me

If you are thinking of overclocking I would go with a board with 8+2 power phases like the gigabyte 990fxa ud3 or the Asrock 990fx killer (12+2 phases)

Their are also cheaper memory kits out their for around 100 dollars.

I would rather go with a single powerful gpu like an R9 290/290X than a crossfire setup

Because some games do not make use of the second gpu, performance issues, excess heat and noise and you will need a beefier power supply

Also, if you are gaming on a single monitor it will be an overkill
