CPU multiplier settings

Hi

I have Asus maximus vi formula and i7 4770K cpu. I overclocked my CPU to 4.5 MHz but when not in use my CPU drops to 800 MHz. my multiplier is now from 8 to 45. how do I modify my multiplier?

you should be able to control certain aspects like that in your bios, where Asus maximus vi furmula has an interactive bios there should be an option stored in there to set max and low levels of operation.

This is normal. Intel Speed Step and AMD Cool & Quiet will reduce CPU speed to cut power consumption and lower temperatures.

It will ramp back up when under load.

This is normal but I am experiencing a little lag. Which is annoying so if it is possible could I maybe set it to 14-45
