Putting Steam games on a second internal hard drive storage device

So I'm pretty new to the world of pc gaming and DIY pc rigs. I've put together a nice little rig with a 1TB hard drive. I re-downloaded all of my Steam games and realized that the hard drive will fill up in no time. I like to have all my games downloaded at all times just in case I ever get an itch to play an old game, it's right there waiting for me. So I hooked up my old 1TB hard drive as well and formatted it to be a storage device. If I put half of my Steam games on the old hard drive will it still be easily accessible? I have done nothing to the old hard drive since formatting it because it comes up as a removable hardware eject media, even though it's an internal hard drive. I have clicked the safely remove hardware eject media by mistake a few times and my old hard drive disappears, prompting me to re-start my computer to get it back. That makes me nervous about putting anything on it. Any tips or ideas?

You can change the install directory and add game library folders for steam from directly within the steam options. Also, SATA drives are hot swappable. You should be able to eject most all drives other than the OS drive. This isn't a problem. A reboot will remount the drive.

Hi most steam games can be accessed by just clicking on the steam logo and selecting the game from the steam library but steam must be on the primary hard drive to play games you can also add short cuts on to the desktop from the games of your old hard drive.

Never mind. I found it. Thanks a bunch. Last thing though, how do I reboot my PC in order to remount my drive?
