question about device manager and drivers

Solution
so your issue is most likely filter drivers. before diving into the registry try to do a right click, uninstall, and check the delete driver software option if its available in the pop up when you click uninstall to the keyboard from device manager.
ill grab that exact location of the filter drivers while you try that

drivers aren't just transferrable from machine to machine like that. the drivers are .sys files, but to install, windows looks for a .inf file that tells it what to install. what type of driver are you looking for? I could walk you through finding it.

standard keyboards do not need specific drivers for windows. if you open devmgmt.msc (device manager) with that keyboard plugged in, I doubt it will show an unknown device. its more likely a filter driver issue... but it may be as simple as restarting plugging it into another usb port.

i connected it to every usb port that pc had it does the searching file thingy when u connect new device for the first time and than it fails to find it, in the device manager the keyboard has yellow mark on it,

and if u could give me a link for some standard keyboard driver for 64bit win 7 it would be nice ill try them ._.
