Hey! I'm having a few issues with the monitor - was wondering if you would know why.

On some games everything is fine but then on others (mainly sniper elite 2) there are rolling bars (like if you record an old television with a camcorder) and I have it set to the right resolution and max graphics. Is it a flaw in the monitor or just too much for it do display? I'm not sure whats happening. It works fine when it isn't on games.

I have an R9 270X 2gb video card, and my hardware is more then capable. I put the resolution on games to 1920x1080, and my friend who played the same game with the same monitor never has these issues.

Faulty monitor? I should also mention that the cable that connects monitor has to have an adapter for it to fit into the PC, could that be the issue?

Also it's a new PC so I used the disc to install the drivers about 5 days ago - they're up to date.

It's like a kind of fuzz, and hard to describe but it's basically bars going down the screen but they are transparent and take the colour of whatever it's moving across.

Sounds like you may be experiencing screen tearing. Check this article out on Wikipedia (look at the picture as well) and see if it matches and what you are asking about:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing

It can occur when your GPU is pushing a higher FPS than your monitor's refresh rate. Turning on vsync in the games that are tearing may help and will at least help you determine if that's what's going on.

Hmm I'm not sure, is it possible for screen tearing to occur like loads? It doesn't seem to distort anything, just make it kind of fuzzy. I'll try and V-Sync and see if it fixes it. I'll get back to you, but thanks!

EDIT: After selecting V-Sync and restarting it still persists, it seems to be getting worse, sometimes with a small black line scrolling all the way down. It looks like a flickering, but in rectangular shapes. Looking at some examples this isn't what I'm experiencing. I'll try and record it and post a link.
