nv is Nvidia driver. That is the driver for your video card. Download the latest driver and perform a "clean installation" (there is a check box) during the installation. Hope this helps.

The 'crash' can be from any number of things, such as CPUs Authority suggested a bad driver install, to a malware eating up 'memory' that causes the driver to crash when putting more 'strain' with a game, if your OCing the card you causing the crash and need to turn off OC and test again, to you haven't dusted out the computer so it is overheating when you put strain on it, to your trying to play WatchDogs (for example) at 4K, set to Ultra on your Nvidia 9600GT video card and wonder why it crashes. There can be any number of reasons..

Do some basics first then tell us the results:

Download and run SPECCY, copy and paste the first tab to show your idle temps
Download and run MSI Afterburner, run some of the games, what temps are you getting when underload?
Open Computer, Can Air dust out the bunnies and use paint brush on the vents, coolers, fans, etc.

Did you install all Windows Updates? Including options except BING? Check them and repeat till ALL are installed.
Download and run Slim Drivers, install all the latest updates for alot of the other things 'under the hood' the video card interfaces with, but you don't need to reboot until you do the last update

If you believe you have the current Video Drivers, then do the following; remove all NVIDIA software from PROGRAMS, download either 3D Guru's Driver Sweeper or download Driver Fusion and really remove all the Nvidia elements. Reboot and be in VGA mode, go to Nvidia and download then install the latest driver.

Remove whatever AV your using and go to www.filehippo.com and download Comodo/Panda or AVG (AVAST! was hacked so I don't recommend them anymore) and do a full system scan - this repeatedly has resolved alot of people issue relying on MS Essentials.
Download Malwarebytes do a full system scan (AV doesn't pick up alot of malware) - this resolved almost ALL other similiar posts to date as most had Malware the AV didn't pick up.
Repeat the AV/Malware scans till the system comes up clean.

In game my cpu runs at around 47 degrees C. And my gpu runs at around 40 C.
At idle they run at around 30-35 C.
There is not much dust in my PC at the time.
Im going to do the optional updates now, AND i did see a nvidia one which im hoping is good.
Ill try the rest after the updates finish.

Wiping your PC would solve it for sure. Not sure if you would want to go so far, though.

Please follow ALL not SOME of the steps I provided. You can't just do one or two and expect it to work.

Also just today i was playing csgo for a good 45 minutes before my pc turned of then on with no fans turning on. After that i discovered that NOTHING on the motherboard was being powered by plugging in the motherboard wire in after i took it out. Do you think it couldve been anything with the wire being loose/ my psu not working? I also havent tried any games yet which i will get back to you on.

Uhmm if you have no POWER, then either it is the PSU or the Mobo is DOA. If you breadboard the motherboard (completely remove the mobo from the case, put on wood or the cardboard box it came in, 1 RAM, CPU, GPU if you do NOT have IG, PSU to MObo ONLY and switch from case connected, power on) and can't get to a BIOS screen, then I would try with another PSU while everything is out and just see if it can power the Mobo. If still wont' power then either Mobo or CPU is toast. First test remove CPU, does the board beep/power on now? If no, then try without RAM then without GPU (if you have no IGP). If still no then you tested exactly that the Mobo is dead as long as the PSU you used to test with works on another system. You should be able to very least CAUSE a beep error code.

I just tried taking out the motherboard power and putting it back it and it seemed to work, i then continued to play a few full rounds of csgo on high quality without it crashing, but I dont think i should be 100% sure its fine.
