Hello,

Please give me a list of softwares to run after assembling the pc to check every hardware is correctly installed and there is no problem.

Right now I only know very basic steps of going into windows hardware list to see if any listed device has warning or error on it or if any is running in compatibility mode or such.

Are there more advanced softwares to run post assembly to generally check if everything was done properly?

thanks.

I would strongly recommend using [urlExt=bit.ly/1m30xgi ]Speccy[/urlExt], it is freeware software that will analyze your computer's RAM, OS, storage, CPU, GPU and even show you their temperatures!

There is NO SUCH THING and would be UNRELIABLE if the system was in fact incorrectly installed. SOFTWARE (like Windows) is the VERY last thing you ever worry about when building. The main concept for anyone building a PC is BREADBOARDING.

Take a plank of wood / the cardboard box of your Mobo, place mobo on it. Plug in 1 RAM, CPU, if no onboard GPU then GPU, power to the Mobo and the case's ON switch. Plug from GPU to Monitor; all testing it to GET TO BIOS and it reads in BIOS correctly. If this works, then you add a second RAM, again test. Then you add the connection to the DVD. test again. connect HDD, test again. Once all parts demonstrate in this capacity as able to boot to BIOS and read in BIOS now to move tediously into the case.

Unplug GPU, DVD, HDD. Seat in case the Mobo NOT THE PSU YET. Again attach GPU only, PSU to Mobo only, and again test, does it work? Yes, then install PSU to case, test again, still okay? Great, not add DVD, test again. Add HDD, test again. Close it up, and TEST AGAIN.

At this point you HAVE validated all hardware as working and functional (your objective) and installed right. So any issues going forward would be software only problems.
