Yea sounds like it died. For future reference download and install the Crystal Disk Info in my signagure. You can monitor a hard drives SMART status in there and keep ahead of hard drive failure and data loss. But it sounds like only option is to take it to a professional data recovery with a clean room.
hi

Most cloning software crashes when bad sectors occur
You should always run manufacturers diagnostics dos or windows version before running chkdsk /r /f
As running chkdsk on a bad or dying hard disk makes things worse
Minor faults such as a few bad sectors can be repaired or you may get a warning of imminent failure

One clone program which may work on hard disks with bad sectors is ddrescue
( windows or Linux versions exist )
It can copy from disk to a file or disk to disk

I leave it up to others for other suggestions of cloning software for faulty
Hard drives

Go to Amazon, look up 1TB Clone, buy 1Tb with closing cable and software, clone current drive to new drive. Replace drive. Take old drive to shooting range and have a blast.

Nothing would work now it has just stopped and won't be detected in computer. Now i think the best option would be to send it to the manufacturers.
