Is WD Green too slow as secondary drive?

I'm in the process of putting together a new pc build and am going to use 120Gb Samsung EVO SSD for the primary drive. I had intended to add a 2Tb Western Digital Green (SATA III) for bulk storage but it was suggested I'd be better off using a WD Black. As the cost is significantly greater I was hoping someone could tell me whether, for a secondary data storage drive, the Green would be too slow. I'm going to be using the pc for Office work.

Its not the speed that concerns the most, but reliability. Green series is slow, yes, but also has much shorter warranty than black (if im not mistaken, 2 vs 5 years). You can also go middle ground and choose blue, which is a mix of both worlds.

Green drives are fine for storage. For the amount of power they actually save, I'd rather go with a WD Blue for storage or a WD Black for OS and programs.

I was going to go with a Blue originally but couldn't find a 2Tb Blue... just a 1Tb version? I suppose I could always buy 2 x 1Tb.

I think it would be just fine for a secondary drive, speed isn't something you tend to worry too much about with bulk storage if you're not accessing programs or a lot of huge files.

Are you partial to Western Digital? What's your budget for a drive?
