PSU is trash. Replace it with an Antec, XFX, Seasonic unit.

Everything else looks fine. Motherboard is low end, but it will work.

Maybe a dumb question but what difference does a PSU make?

The PSU is the most important part of the computer by far. IT power and protects everything. A junk PSU can fry every single components in a computer easily.

That XFX is a very good unit and an excellent choice.

I would suggest going with Intel. If you buy the new Pentium G3258 you have some serious overclocking ability because of the unlocked $75 processor. That case should be good enough for keeping temps cool, but I would suggest the NZXT Source 210 Elite, which has cable management and more fans. If you go with the Pentium, be sure to buy a nice CPU fan, like the Hyper 212 Evo from CM. And make sure to buy a good motherboard that will give you more overclocking headroom. buying a cheap one will not help you.

Overclocking can make a difference in some games, others will see no difference at all. It is DEFINITELY not necessary by any means. It is a hobby more than anything.

I would personally try and go for a CPU. I'd rather have an i3 than a FX-6300. Overclocking is kind of fun in my opinion if you wish to test your PC and push it to the limits haha.

i3 processors are not unlocked so oc'ing one of those would be a challenge. The G3258 is fully unlocked so you can easily overclock it to near 4.5GHz
