So, i was wondering why my fps was so low when playing games. Opened up MSI afterbuner and CPU ID and here are my results:

GPU1 Usage: 24% ( goes up and down from 24 to 0)

GPU2 usage 0%

GPU 2 VID usage 0 %

GPU fan speed 46 %

GPU1 Core clock 1040 mhz

GPU 1 memory clock 1350

and CPU ID only shows one reading now and its TMPIN0 : 42C

What the heck is going on? Did some setting get reset and why is it showing two GPU's? I was playing games like War Thunder and Men of War and getting 200+ fps ( 200-275 on War Thunder and 190- 240 on Men of War) but now im lucky to break 60 on both.

SPECS:
i5-3570k
PowerColor R9 290
Corsair 8gb ram
CX750M
HAF 932 advanced

Sorry, neglected to look at that part. I would reinstall those games and disable ULPS in Afterburner. That makes the GPUs save power by compromising performance.

Its fine. Is their a risk in disabling it?

Nope, it is just an AMD pest. Their is an option to disable it for a reason. It pretty much renders your second GPU useless in stats. It will always say 0% usage.

Why does it even show 2 GPU's? Bout to test out this now thats its disabled.

No, why would he have GPU 1 Usage: 24% and GPU 2 usage: 0%?

OH you are confused as to why it says 2 GPUs... I see. Well, try updating drivers and make sure your GPU and CPU aren't overheating.

If you are at 65 C, you could easily overclock that thing and make up for lost ground. Try boosting core clock by 100 MHz and Memory by 50 MHz, core voltage by 0.02 Volts.

Not sure, try it with a different PSU. That is likely it.

That PSU may be dying. Try with another one.

That is odd. It still could be, you never know. Worst case - you will have to wipe your HDD and save your files. I am fairly certain that would fix it, but it is usually quite the hassle.
