Hey guys,

Last week, I cleaned out my PC some and reseated my GPU. When I used my PC again, I noticed that there were big black borders surrounding the image on the screen. Without much thought, I jumped to the conclusion that I should just reinstall my graphics drivers. Although, that was definitely a mistake.

Ever since reinstalling the drivers, I've had a BSoD occur every two days; 100% of the time when I'm watching a YouTube video. I can run a graphically intensive application for hours straight, but it will always be a YouTube video that causes the crash.

GPU - Sapphire Radeon HD 7850
OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times, but to no avail. (although, not completely thoroughly, as I have an AMD CPU as well, and I don't want to delete anything related to that)

Thanks!

Solution
-recheck the external power connection that goes directly from the power supply to the graphics card.( not likely the cause in this case)

- check the graphics cards sound drivers. if you don't use the sound from your graphics card people often forget to install the updated driver for it when they update their graphics card. it results in a having 2 current drivers and one old driver trying to work together. You would make sure you update the high definition sound for your graphics card
or go to device manager and find the device and disable it.
