Hello, so I just wondered with the GPU I mentioned it has 3 modes.

OC Mode-Tune up core clock and fan speed to gain the best performance.

Gaming Mode-Provides a stable gaming experience with higher core clock.

Silent Mode-The best operating environment with fabulous low noise.

I just wondered would it be okay to play games on the Silent Mode. I myself would just be worried about damaging the components too much.
Thank you.

What I mean is for example (forgive the stupid question) I had a Palit GTX 560 and could play New Vegas, Skyrim with an ENB, The Witcher 2 (at a stretch) so I was just wondering if it is okay to play games like that on Silent Mode on the GPU I have now, I only wondered as with the OC'ing and gaming modes I would rather be secure with Silent Mode.

I mean if I made a guess I would assume that Silent Mode has the power of a regular GTX 780 and the other modes just add a bit more power.

Why guess when you can download and read the manual to know for sure?

I couldn't find the manual on the internet. That's why I asked the question here.

It is just a version of overclocking.

As I recall those cards have constantly adjustable output, and how long it can put out max is heavily dependent on the cooling, and controlled by temperature, I think.

The reference cards with reference cooling throttled back much sooner then the cards like you have.

So it would be perfectly fine to play the games at Silent Mode then?

Absolutely, it just won't perform at the cards full potential.

Welcome.
Even on the silent mode, that is a pretty potent card I'd guess.

Again another really silly question. I take it this card at Silent Mode could beat the Palit GTX 560 at full overclocking then?

Okay that explains it a lot more, thanks for putting my mind at rest.

Also one last question. I take it the overclocking is if you wanted to play games like Crysis 3 and Witcher on the top of everything settings right?

That's one to describe it.
Overclocking increases performance, in any game or SIM.

This method is more use friendly, and should be safe except for hearing loss, from the fan noise;)
