His build is better for CPU intensive games.
Mine is better for pure graphics intense games.

So it is really up to what games you play.

Most games will run about the same, but the i5 works, too. The i5 is a bit overpriced, too. It is almost twice the price of the FX-6300, making you cheap out on the motherboard and other components.

Well, with such a basic description, no point getting into intel vs AMD since we don't know exactly what he wants. As of right now, my build has the better graphics card though (poke :p )

People spend way too much on gaming computers as it is though. 5 year old computers can play dota2 in decent settings/FPS. The 750ti can play all the new games at 30+ FPS ultra.

That said, if the OP was into overclocking, I wouldn't hesitate to get a $550 build with the G3258 and 750ti as that would still be great for gaming.

I'm fairly certain a build could manage with a G3220/750ti and play on high settings with little to no bottlenecks; at least from the many threads I've read that seems to be the consensus. (this would mean you could just upgrade to the i5 later to)

Kyorean, either of these builds is great! Feel free to ask any questions :)
