Hello there, I have an old Dell inspiron 1720 and was looking to just upgrade the heck out of it instead of spending a bunch on a new laptop. It currently has windows xp home premium, 4 gigs of ram, and an Intel Core 2 Duo t5550 @1.83Gh Processor. I am planning on buying windows 7 ultimate to throw on there because i'm not a very big fan of 8. I read that windows 7Ultimate could support up to 192 Gigs of ram and was wondering if the OS is the only governing factor on my ram limit? If i got the windows 7 ultimate wowuld i be able to switch to two 4gig sticks instead of two 2gig sticks? Also if you have knowledge of any processors that would do much better than the current one and are also compatible that would be great
