I currently have a an fx 6350 cpu with 8gb of ram and a 750 watt psu(gold rated). I have a 512mb gpu and need to upgrade. Would dual hd7950's give me better fps than a single 290 or 280x. I would be using the upgrade to play games such as bf4 at ultra. Thanks in advance for replying.

A 7950 is almost equal to an R9 280x. Yes, it would yield more performance than a single 290. It has 28 cores, the 290 has 40. 28 x 2 = 56, so 16 more than 40, so 40% more performance in a perfect world. Probably closer to 30% better.
