CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB Double Dissipation Video Card

Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply


Will I be able to play high end $60 games with good graphics?

If last gen consoles could run it, I am pretty sure a high end GPU could run it. Last gen consoles used a GPU comparable to the X1800 series GPUs.

what would I need to upgrade to play the future games like GTA5?

You won't need to upgrade to anything. Take a quick look at performance with the X1800. That is what is used for last gen consoles.This is about 50 times as good. I am pretty sure you won't have any issue running that.
