Hi everybody, I currently have a q6600 currently paired with an oem hp motherboard
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01077641&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en#N465
also running an antec basiq 430
I am looking to upgrade my graphics card to a hd 7770
I have three questions:
As this CPU is very old already can I overclock it by changing the FSB?
I also have the hyper 212 evo on the cpu and whenever i start the computer, this cpu fan failed message comes up and f2 to continue. The fan is spinning and i have checked that it is the 4 pin and is labeled CPU_FAN. Since this is an OEM bios i cant change the cpu minimum to a lower RPM due to what I've read on the forums. Is there anyway around this?
And will i still be able to play games or experience a huge bottleneck?
My resolution is 1440x900 and i will be hoping to play games like Dark Souls 2 and Dota 2
Thanks

I have the HP AAHD2-HY (Holly2) http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03329340-3%257CdocLocale%253Den_US%257CcalledBy%253D

I ran both a 260x and 250x/HD7700 with an a6-5400k on a Corsair CX430 so the Antec basiq 430 should be fine as long as you don't overclock anything.

I have a Sapphire r7 250x/HD7700 aka however I was only able to install a r7 260x with a reference cooler and not one with a full size cooler due to the heatsink shown near the bottom of the motherboard

i just wanna share that i used to have a q6600 with a dfi lan party motherboard with 4 sticks of corsair dominator 1gb each, and i added an r9 270x hawk, it wroked like a gem so i can definitely conclude that youll be goo with that, just make sure trhat you have atleast 500w of true rated power supply, btw i played battle field 4 at ultra 1080p, 7770 will be lesser in performance compared to an r9 270x but if you will be coming from an 8500gt the 7770 performance gain will be highly noticeable and better fps than 8500gt.

bios fan error i also had thesame error i just plugged the cpu fan on the correct cpu fan header. make sure the is a fan connected to the cpu fan header dude, because in my case i plugged it on a a case fan header so my bios wont detect any activity with the cpu fan header so that will cause the warning message

I have read many forums and I have made sure its the 4 pin and says CPU_FAN not SYS_FAN
