Hello guys actually i wanted to ask you about two things not only the low rpm of my Noctua D-15
but also regarding the OC of my I5 3570K which is now on 4.6ghz turbo on
prime 95 temps are around 68

first:MY Cooler issue which is the low rpm when i installed it (which i did right btw i followed the instruction well) i found a warning from bios saying fail in cpu fan cuz cooler was running on like 480 rpm
2nd:o c'ing my 3570k am i doing it right cuz im still using turbo i mean is it right using turbo

i just hear people saying u ve to turn off turbo and doing stuff about voltages

so i though u might help guys
here are my specs

Mobo:Asus p8z77 v-pro

Cpu:i5 3570k @ 4.6 turbo

Cooler:Noctua NH D-15

Ram:8 gb corsair vengence

Psu:seasonic 750 watt bronze

GPU:7970ghz edition 3gb vapor x

More about : overclocking 3570k noctua low rpm

Answer to your low RPM problem. Some boards including mine have a RPM limit threshold before giving a warning (this can be changed on some boards), some aftermarket coolers do run at a lower RPM than this threshold when the CPU is cool giving a CPU fan error warning. If you cant change the lower limit threshold in bios then there is nothing you can do about this but its absolutely nothing to worry about.

Turbo mode needs to be disabled when overclocking your CPU it basically ramps up the CPU frequency and voltage when under heavy load and can cause stability issues and over voltage when a CPU is overclocked. You can use intel speedstep which will reduce your core voltage and CPU frequency when the CPU is idle to save power.

Ignore turning off Intel turbo.
Just turn AI overclock tuner to manual or XMP, put 45 in the " 1-core ratio limit". The other cores will automatically change.
For Vcore, test with manual mode at 1.2 V.
In your DIGI+ Power Control, set your CPU Load line Calibration to Ultra high (help to reduce vdroop).
Save and exit.
Test booting into windows and run short stress test.
If you get errors in the stress test or get BSODs, then try increasing the voltage by 0.005 until stable. Check your temps as well.
After reach 4.5 GHZ stable and temps looks ok, bump up the ratio to 46 and test if you need more voltage.
Once you are happy run 8 + hours to stress test for stability with AID64 or Prime95.

thanks dude , im already on 4.2 without any voltage modifications and i ran prime 95 for like 1 hour all safe my temps are around 64to 66 Celsius the biggest question here , is overclocking to 4.2 or even 4.5 worth all the effort? i mean what game do u think is a very demanding to such power and maybe i ll notice a difference considering that i play all games on Ultra 1080p i just got the Noctua d15 recently to prepare for upcoming games. so what do u think?

Probably not noticeable with differences in most games going to 4.2 GHZ from stock from my experience. I see overclocking as a hobby.
What are your voltage you running at when under load?

now i tried 4.5 with
prime 95 temp is 74 under full load
vcore is 1.406 shall i lower voltage -0.005 cuz i think cores are chewed up alil bit

core0=84
core1=94
core2=94
core3=89

Put cpu vcore in manual mode and put 1.2. It should be fine undr 1.3v.
1.4v for 4.5ghz is excessive
