Assembled my first pc but for some reason when i install the gpu (Radeon 7850) it won't boot up. But with out it starts up fine (except for secure boot not configured correctly build 9600 watermark). Another problem is, only the hdmi works (w/o gpu) and it doesn't detect a vga connection. I installed Windows 8.1 and the MSI driver and utilities disk. Any ideas?

Build:
Intel I7 4770k
Radeon HD 7850
MSI Z87-g45 gaming motherboard
8gb Kingston hyper x ram
1tb western digital black hdd
Corsair cx 430 psu

May be an option in your BIOS that you need to set to make it search for the PCIE device first before resorting to the Intel Graphics on the processor.

Hello RuhsteeSpoons (like the name). I had this same problem when I first built my PC. I have a few ideas you can try.
1)Try installing the GPU drivers w/o your gpu installed
2)Maybe your psu can't support everything (Do you have a friend that can lend you theirs?)
Good luck and keep me updated to tell me if this doesn't work.
