Hello guys, I'm new to this website. Anyway, I was thinging of finally upgrading my GPU. I've had the 660 SC for at least 6 months now. I'm thinking of upgrading it. I was thinking of maybe R9 290 or GTX 780. I'm gonna need the referrence design because I have a small form factor. Thanks in advance guys!

CPU: Intel 4770K @ 3.5

CPU Cooler: NH-L9i

Motherboard: GA-H97-D3h

Memory: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport Very Low Profile @ 1600 Mhz

Storage: 840 Evo SSD 500GB

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SC 2GB

EVGA GeForce GTX 750 FTW with ACX Cooler [Non-TI] 2GB as a Physx decicated card

Case: Corsair Obsidian 350D

PSU: CX600M

Given the choice, I'd go with the 780 for two reasons - a little less power consumption (you don't have a *huge* amount of headroom room with a 600W so a little bit give you more space as the PSU ages) and given that you have a small factor and want a reference card, the 290, while a very effective card, is also quite hot. Bigger deal for smaller form factors.

I see. I'll also be gaming on a single 1080P monitor for right now. How long would this card last me for?

With the 780 you can just install it and run. Uses the same driver as the 660ti.

That's very true. I was looking into giving the red team a chance maybe this once. But since both of you are suggesting the 780, then I will go with the 780.

No complaints about AMD from me - I have a 7970 Ghz in my main/gaming rig. The 780's just a better fit for your situation, I feel!

Hmmm...
I'm not a big fan of the Corsair CX series PSU. They are engineered for only a moderate case temperature. See this doc from Corsair's website:

I'm not suggesting that you change your PSU now, but in the future, or for your next build, you might want to consider a different model.
