Hi there, my friend has brought a pc which bears the same composition as myself.
Which is an AMD FX 6300,Gigabyte 78LMT-S2 MB, and 4GB RAM DDR3

He asked me whether he can add the Graphics card AMD/ATI Radeon R7 250 with boost 2GB DDR5 with his RAM memory of 4GB.Does he need to upgrade it to 8GB before buying the Graphics card.

I couldn't give a suitable reason to him,so i'm asking for your expertise.
Please state some reasons, so i can notify him.

A lot of issues with BF4 memory leaking causing problems for people who have less than 8 gigs of RAM. A 4GB stick of ram isn't expensive and you will find that the game runs smoother. However I'd personally go with the graphics card first, since BF4 isn't really an optimized game to...

To gameduck,,
If he does not increase his RAM memory to 8GB and keep it to 4GB and instead buys AMD/ATI Radeon R7 250 with boost 1GB DDR5,will it suffice.????
Please state your reasons

No, it will work just fine but if he wants to play something like BF4 or CoD he should seriously buy 4GB more. He can get up to 20% boost =) And Sorry for Late reply!!!

So i think it do just fine because Bf4 runs on 4GB RAM COD Ghosts has been cracked and it runs on 4GB.

A lot of issues with BF4 memory leaking causing problems for people who have less than 8 gigs of RAM. A 4GB stick of ram isn't expensive and you will find that the game runs smoother. However I'd personally go with the graphics card first, since BF4 isn't really an optimized game to build a system around. If there are issues with the RAM it will likely be only for that game and you can enjoy the others with the new card until you can get another 4GB stick. Not sure what operating system you are using but they recommend 8GB of system memory for those using 64 bit OS, and 2+ GB of video memory for optimal visual quality and frame rate.

I'm not sure how often you game or how important the quality is, what your case size is, or your power supply. I will however say that the video card is one thing that I'd spend more money on. When you look at increasing performance in cards as they escalate from the R7 250, there's a certain sweet spot you need to find. Where paying x amount more would only gain you x amount of performance in comparison to your previous gains. Why spend 80-100 on an R7 250 when you could have a gtx 660 SC for $150 and later add an additional card for SLI--only spending $200 dollars more than your original amount for that much of a performance increase? Not trying to start a fanboy war here, it was just an example as I'm not extremely familiar with the amd lineup below the 280x. Best of luck.
