I am very interested in purchasing an SSD and I have a ton of questions now. I just want video games from Steam, Origin, and Ubisoft installed on that hard drive. I currently have Windows 8.1 installed and mainly games are installed.

1. 250 GB vs 500 GB? Is it worth spending an extra $120 or so?

2. What is "Migrating an OS"? Is it an alternative to re-installing the OS?

3. What are the steps I need to take to properly upgrade/add an SSD?

4. Do I need to do any optimizations with the SSD?

5. Can I have other programs installed in the HDD and still use them?

6. What type of programs, other than games, should I have installed on an SSD?

7. Why must I back up my HDD? Won't the files remain on the HDD?

the 3 videos titles below which I used will tell you everything :
The SSD Tutorial - YouTube (by Paul of Newegg tv)
(and these 2 from Linus of NCIX Tech tips):
How to Transfer your Boot Drive to your New Intel SSD - Data Migration Tutorial NCIX Tech Tips - YouTube
How to properly configure the SSD as boot drive and HDD as storage drive - YouTube
I watched others but these I choose and it was surprisingly a breeze to do.
