Guys I have recently built a new pc and am using Minecraft as a benchmark to see gaming performance, however the results are quite disappointing.
My FPS is constantly hovering at 30Fps-55Fps at ultra settings in Minecraft and I know I should be getting above 60fps.

Why is this PC experiencing low fps? :??: Any suggestions will be welcome.
I have installed Chipset driver from mb website, then latest GPU drivers from Amd and I am yet to start installing windows update.
Thank you all

Solution

This is just incorrect.

Could be the issue although the single core performance of an fx 6300 is still quite respectable. Try downloading the Optifine mod for minecraft and turn on multi-core processing. This might fix your issue.

Get the mod here:
https://optifine.net/downloads

Download the HD Ultra version for whichever version of minecraft you are running (most likely the latest).
You might also want to download magic launcher as it makes adding and stacking mods on minecraft a lot...

What is the Frequency of your ram ?? Is it 1600MHz ? if not then that can be one of the issue because 6 core or more than 6 core cpu needs minimum 1600Mhz of ram or else it will bottleneck.
and what are your system temps ??

My i3 is more stable :p, so I don't think that is the issue

Any i3 is much stronger for Minecraft than the FX-6300.

If Optifine fixes it, then it was just your CPU single-core performance that was too low. If it doesn't fix it, then something is actually wrong. Either way, you should install it to test and either confirm or disprove the idea.
