I have a Intel DH61WW motherboard and I am worried about the compatibility of the r7 240 1 GB GDDR5 card with my MOBO, since the r7240 is a new card and my mobo is comparatively an older model. My other specs are: Intel core i3 2100@3.1 Ghz
Ram: 4GB DDR3@1333Mhz

And is pci e 3.0 backwards compatible?

Is 4GB ram enough? Or should i increase it to 6GB? I have 2 2GB transcend ddr3 sticks. I have planned to discard one 2 GB stick and install a 4GB stick to make it 6GB totally. Is this pair of 2GB and 4GB sticks compatible with each other and my MOBO?

This is not always the case. In one of my systems I've got 1 Corsair and 1 Kingston RAM, they're DDR2, and have the same specifications.

So as long as all of your memory stick's specifications are the same, you're fine.

But, there is still a chance of problems.
