so i just bought my razer naga hex about 8 months and yesterday it suddenly stopped working
it was working perfectly until it suddenly stopped, i tried to plug it in different computers and laptops and it still didn't work, it doesn't even light up, its like i didn't plug anything
i tried searching the problem and i didn't find a solution, all of the computers and laptops i tried the mouse on are windows 8.1, do you think the problem is from windows 8.1 ?
and i tried updating the firmware but it says ( no device detected )

More about : naga hex work

have you ever dropped the mouse (could it be physical damage to inside components?)

has the cord ever been pulled on (could it have pulled lose an internal solder joint?)

does the usb cord and plug look in working condition (no obvious damage?)

do you have a dust problem or have you spilled something on the mouse?

are you trying to use it with a usb to ps2 adapter (those do not work for razer products)

if its none of the above... try removing all traces of razer drivers, turning the pc off then restarting with the mouse attached. it should work with just windows mouse drivers well enough for you to tell if it was a mouse issue or a software/driver glitch. if you still get nothing then perhaps something burned out on the mouse (is it under warranty?)

its not windows 8.1 as we have a razer naga hex on a g75 laptop with windows 8.1 installed as well as razer synapse. it works fine.

is the mouse under warranty?

if it does not work on multiple computers and you already checked the obvious as i mentioned then it could be that the mouse hardware failed in some manner.

razer can be hit or miss. my deathadder is at least 4 years old now and still works (i just need to replace the switches since that is a wear item in all mice)... i do lots of clicking! i love that mouse (the original 3.5g deathadder)

the razer hex i mentioned before has been in use for about a year now without any issues and its a daily driver/travel mouse for someone in the family. personally i dont care for the shape.

generally i do agree about razer. all except on the deathadder or nostromo.

i agree with you about the deathadder, it's the best razer mouse, my brother has one and it's 3 years old now without any issues, i actually was going to buy the deathadder but i bought naga hex because of the 6 buttons on the left, i thought it would help me, anyway it's under warranty so i will see what's the problem, thank you for your help!

I think it is i have the same issue i have let 15 of my coworkers that do not have 8.1 test it and it works fine. I also have a win 7 and works fine still trying to get it working hopeing razer support will help as i t have only had it 4 months and never droped spilled or yanked out of my pc. windows just will not recognize the mouse.
