Should i get a 500 watt, a 600 watt or a 700 watt power supply for my gaming pc? What are the differences in performance and noise?

Total wattage is not the most important factor, it's not even the second or third most important.

Post your specs and budget and I'll find you a great PSU to suit your needs :)
The PSU wattage required depends on your system, particularly the graphics card which is the component that draws the most wattage. Next is the CPU; overclocking will increase the requirement of watts.

The power required is similar to the power of an automobile engine. Personally, I would go with about 30% higher than the calculated wattage; this is purely my personal choice. A PSU that meets the calculated wattage will work.
